Renderstyle for filling circles with cad color

Bring the renderstyles window to the front and make it a convenient size.

Currently we only have one renderstyle called "default" in our library. You can have any number of renderstyles in a library file.

  • Select the create new renderstyle icon, to create a new renderstyle.
  • Rename it from "New Renderstyle" to "Circles - filled".
  • Select enter to accept the new name.
  • Select the "color" tab as we are working in color.
  • Set the rendering option for the "circle" to "fill" in the objects section on the left. The object rendering on the Visual tab will reflect the change.
  • Select the save icon to save the changes.

This renderstyle will now fill circles in with their cad color for color output, when assigned to a layer.

We will set up a custom color for the renderstyle shortly.

Hint:
There is always a renderstyle called default in the library and it always stays at the top of the list.

You have now created a renderstyle.
All of the tools are there to create renderstyles that do the job you want.

They can be very simple, as with the renderstyle, Circles - filled that has been created to fill circles for color output. Or they can be quite detailed, set up to produce monochrome, color and separations output.

Once you have created a renderstyle, what do you do with it?

You need to assign it to a layer name in the settings.

Note:
With the introduction of Cad Publisher 1.7 you can also assign renderstyles to color numbers, the process is exactly the same.
